NineClip Build: from an idle calculator site to a sourced reference

NineClip Build has construction calculators for Indian homes and plots, and each one names its source (CPWD, IS codes, MNRE). It launched in July 2026 with 10 calculators and then sat untouched until 30 Sep.

Where it started (30 Sep 2026)

  • 10 calculators and 28 URLs in the sitemap, plus 5 empty category pages open to Google.
  • 175 KB of analytics loaded before anything else. Lighthouse mobile scored the home page 73, with the main content appearing after 5.3 seconds.

What we did

  1. Hid the 5 empty categories from Google, the sitemap and the menus until each has at least 2 calculators.
  2. Added one sourced calculator at a time: plot area in 26 local units across 9 states, rooftop solar with PM Surya Ghar figures, inverter battery size, house construction budget and RCC steel from IS 1786 and IS 2502 tables.
  3. Added planning pages for whole jobs (a one-floor material order, retiling a bathroom) and checklists for site deliveries: cement bags, TMT steel weight, bricks, sand.
  4. Moved analytics to load after the first tap.
  5. Put a short answer, the official source and the month it was checked on every calculator.

The site is fast and every number on it has a source, but Google hasn't started showing it yet: Search Console has no impressions, and 4 pages sit at "crawled, currently not indexed". New sites often wait weeks for this. We show it anyway: a case study that lists only the good numbers would not tell you much.

What our own audit found

Our 17 Oct audit found a "Loading" heading left in the cement calculator's page before the script runs, and low-contrast gold text in the footer. Both are on the fix list.

What a client gets from this

A small site with a few useful tools can be made fast and trustworthy in a week or two: hide what's empty, cite where every number comes from, and keep analytics from slowing the first screen. Getting Google to notice takes longer, and we'll tell you that up front.
